Senior Financial Analyst - Operations FP&A - Regional Support (Hybrid)

Summary:
This position will partner with the Operations Distribution Center team from the Northeast region from a financial analysis capacity.
The person in this role is expected to work hand-in-hand with the branch leaders to analyze and investigate complex information reported in the internal financial statements and other periodic financial reports.
Develop a deep understanding for the distribution center process flow and articulate how specific actions influence financial results.
Maintain regional financial forecast models and work with branch leaders to improve accuracy / drive performance.
This position is on-site in Perryville, MD 3 days/week and requires travel within the Northeast region for distribution center visits up to 20% (up to 50% in the first 2 months for onboarding) CORE JOB
Responsibilities:
Communicate financial results for operating expense drivers and analysis.
Interpret financial results and metrics to distribution center leaders and discuss action plans to improve performance.
Partner with distribution center leaders to maintain an accurate rolling forecast as well as annual plan / quarterly outlook submissions.
Understand key initiatives within the distribution center and how they will be reflected financially.
Perform ROI analysis, scenario modeling, and providing decision support for future business planning decisions and investments.
Creation of new metrics to analyze the business.
Create meaningful relationships with team members across all areas of the distribution center and develop an understanding of each team's role.
Possess the ability to articulate clearly how specific events / actions impact financial results.
Review general ledger expense postings on a weekly basis to ensure financial statement precision and collaborate with the appropriate party (Finance, Corporate Operations, Engineering, etc.
) to correct any inaccurate postings.
Analyze and investigate complex information reported in the internal financial statements and other periodic financial reports.
Conduct and document moderate to complex financial analysis projects.
Provide financial decision support with business partners and research and recommend options and solutions for improved business results to senior management.
Collaborate with Information Systems, Engineering, Finance and other distribution center departments to ensure data integrity.
Drive continuous improvement by creating new analysis, innovating on current metrics and reporting.
Use SQL and advanced excel functionality to interpret large quantities of data and provide a meaningful analysis.
